House Culture
All the students of the institute are divided into four different houses namely Akash, Jal, Prithvi and Vayu. The names of the houses are derived from nature’s five elements and have their origin from Sanskrit language. Such names are chosen as they depict the entire universe and have unique relevance in humanity. Through this, we aim to make the students understand the importance and working of universe and nature. Henceforth, we provide students with insights into the real life scenario and contribute to their survival and growth.
The rationale behind creation of these houses is to prepare them to face the world and make a place for themselves out there. House culture practiced in the institute enhances healthy competitive spirit, creativity, sense of belongingness, team work, leadership, innovation and much more. As a member of the house, students always strive to make their house win and conquer the running trophy. Every house has its own set of strengths and showcases its talents accordingly.
For keeping the spirit of the houses alive, a monthly sports and cultural event ‘Scaffold’ is organized wherein the houses compete with each other. At the end of the year, overall winner of these activities is declared. And the icing on the cake is, the grand level house competition, organised in the form of Annual function. In this event, houses perform a dance-drama, based on a theme, given to them a priori.
Based on the idea of team spirit and belongingness, these houses are a source of motivation and learning for students.
